5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
  • Understand how visitors use the Site through analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity);
  • Serve, measure, and personalize advertising (Google AdSense, Mediavine);
  • Track and credit affiliate referrals (Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs);

We do not use your information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you (e.g., credit, employment, or insurance decisions).

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR/UK GDPR:

  • Consent  for non-essential cookies, analytics, and personalized advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time via our cookie consent tool, without affecting processing already carried out.
  • Legitimate interests  for essential site functionality, security, and fraud prevention, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation  where we must process data to comply with the law.

7. Third-Party Service Providers We Use

We work with the following third parties to operate, analyze, and monetize the Site. We may add or change providers over time; see Section 7.6.

7.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the Site  pages viewed, time on page, referral source, approximate location, and device/browser information. Google Analytics uses cookies and identifiers to generate these reports. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

7.2 Microsoft Clarity

We partner with Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to capture how you use and interact with the Site through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay, so that we can understand and improve the user experience. This is done using first- and third-party cookies and similar tracking technologies (e.g., cookies named _clck, _clsk, CLID, and MUID) to determine how visitors use the Site. Clarity is configured to mask sensitive fields (such as passwords and payment details) by default. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

7.3 Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertising on the Site. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies (including those historically associated with DoubleClick) to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites, and to measure ad performance. For EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors, ads are served subject to Google’s EU User Consent Policy, meaning personalized ads are shown only where you have given consent through our cookie consent tool; otherwise, you will see non-personalized ads. You can review or adjust ad personalization at Google Ads Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

7.4 Mediavine

The Site works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising. Mediavine requires the following disclosure to appear on this page exactly as written, including the version heading:

Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)

The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.

First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, “Tags”) may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser’s cache. The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser’s cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.

Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.

The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:

  • IP Address
  • Operating System type
  • Operating System version
  • Device Type
  • Language of the website
  • Web browser type
  • Email (in hashed form)

Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.

If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit National Advertising Initiative opt out page. You may also visit Digital Advertising Alliance website and Network Advertising Initiative website to learn more information about interest-based advertising. You may download the AppChoices app at Digital Advertising Alliance’s AppChoices app to opt out in connection with mobile apps, or use the platform controls on your mobile device to opt out.

For specific information about Mediavine Partners, the data each collects and their data collection and privacy policies, please visit Mediavine Partners.

7.5 Amazon Associates

[Website Name] is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

When you click an Amazon affiliate link on this Site, Amazon may set a cookie on your device to track the referral (generally valid for 24 hours, or longer for items added to your cart within that window) so that we can be credited for qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. We do not control, and are not responsible for, Amazon’s own collection or use of your information; see the Amazon Privacy Notice.

7.6 Future Advertising Partners and Affiliate Programs

We may work with additional advertising networks and affiliate programs in the future (for example, other display-ad networks or affiliate programs beyond Amazon Associates). Any such partner will be subject to this Policy’s general commitments regarding disclosure, cookies, and your choices, and we will update this Policy to name new partners as they are added. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

8. Interest-Based Advertising and Your Ad Choices

Ads on this Site may be personalized based on your browsing activity on this Site and others. You can limit interest-based advertising through:

Opting out of personalized advertising does not mean you will see no ads or fewer ads  it means the ads you see may be less relevant to your interests.

9. Affiliate Disclosure

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials, we disclose that Haven Decor Aura participates in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Associates Program (Section 7.5) and may participate in other affiliate programs in the future. This means we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through links on this Site, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are typically marked in-content (for example, with “(paid link),” “#ad,” or “#CommissionsEarned”) near the relevant link or recommendation. Our editorial opinions and recommendations remain our own regardless of any affiliate relationship.

10. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under some laws (notably the CCPA/CPRA), providing information to advertising partners for personalized/cross-context behavioral advertising can be considered a “sale” or “share” even without a direct monetary exchange  see Section 14.2 for your related rights. We disclose information to:

  • Service providers and partners who help us operate the Site and deliver analytics or advertising (Sections 7.1–7.6);
  • Legal and safety purposes  to comply with law, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, or protect our rights, users, or the public;
  • Business transfers  in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; and
  • With your consent  for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection.

11. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers (including Google, Microsoft, and Amazon) may process and store information in the United States or other countries that may not have data protection laws equivalent to those in your jurisdiction. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, such transfers are made pursuant to one or more approved safeguards, such as:

  • The EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are each certified participants), or
  • The European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), supplemented as needed by a transfer impact assessment.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Specific retention periods for cookies are set by each provider (see the linked partner privacy pages in Section 7) and may change; we encourage you to check those pages for current figures. If you’ve contacted us or subscribed to a newsletter, we retain that information until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe, or until it’s no longer needed for the purpose collected.

13. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Other U.S. states. A growing number of states  currently including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and many others, with new states added regularly  have their own comprehensive privacy laws giving residents similar rights (access, deletion, correction, opt-out of targeted advertising, and appeal). If you are a resident of one of these states, please contact us using the details in Section 19 to exercise your rights; we’ll handle your request under the law that applies to you.

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information
  • Opt out of marketing emails (via the unsubscribe link)

15. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT, Haven Decor Aura currently does not respond to browser DNT signals. Separately, and unlike DNT, we do treat a detected Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser or an installed extension as a valid request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for that browser or device, consistent with Section 14.2. (Note to site owner: this requires your cookie consent platform or site code to actually detect and act on the GPC signal; see the instructions box at the top of this document.)

16. Children’s Privacy

This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction, which may be higher, e.g., up to 16 in some EEA member states). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us (Section 19) so we can delete it.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, plugins, or services not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.
